Due to the late onset of winter and the difficulty of clearing the snow, we have to postpone the start of the trips to the Schafbergspitze until 1 May.
Up to and including Thursday, 25 April 2024, the operation of the SchafbergBahn is still completely suspended.
From Friday, 26 April to Tuesday, 30 April 2024, the SchafbergBahn will run to the Schafbergalm.
From Wednesday, 01 May 2024 we will start with the trips to the Schafbergspitze according to the summer timetable.

Café & Restaurant EQ
Restaurant EQ in the SchafbergBahn's ErlebnisQuartier is open daily from 10am to 11pm. From April 6, breakfast will be served daily from 9 to 11.30 am on the terrace and/or in the Cafe & Restaurant EQ. Further information about the restaurant can be found here.
With our new ticket, dogs travel at a flat rate of € 7.00. The day pass is valid for all regular trips on the SchafbergBahn cog railway and WolfgangseeSchifffahrt ferries.
Please note that dogs must be secured with a muzzle and leash and require a valid ticket.
Children up to the completed age of 4 for whom no seat is required, will be transported at no charge. Children ages 4 to 14 receive the discounted rate.
Unforunately, prams cannot be taken along, there is a place where they can be parked.
The family price is valid for 2 adults and their own children (ages 4 to 14).
The discounted family price is granted to families, who are owning an Austrian family card (Österreichische Familienkarte) or a Salzkammergut Erlebnis-Card.
The family "light" price is valid for 1 adult and his/her own children (ages 4 to 14).
The discounted family "light" price is granted to families, who are owning an Austrian family card (Österreichische Familienkarte) or a Salzkammergut Erlebnis-Card.
The group price is valid for groups of 10 or more.
The discounted prices are valid for owners of a Salzkammergut Erlebnis Card.
