The SchafbergBahn is in operation as follows:

• From April 25 to November 1, 2026, the SchafbergBahn cog railway runs daily to the Schafberg summit (mountain station).

Café & Restaurant EQ

• Friday through Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. | Kitchen open from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. | Wednesday and Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. | Kitchen open from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The WolfgangseeSchifffahrt ferries is in operation as follows:

• June 27 – September 6, 2026 (daily) click here for the schedule
  • from July 4 through August 23, 2026, the paddlewheel motorboat Kaiser Franz Josef will be in service, weather permitting

• Please note: due to necessary maintenance work on the Strobl boat landing, this stop will not be served on Monday, August 3, 2026, for the entire day. Thank you for your understanding. The corresponding replacement timetable will be provided shortly.

The FestungsBahn funicular is in operation:

• Mo-Su: 8.30 am - 9.00 pm: Last ascent up 8.30 pm, last descent down 9.00 pm (except during events)
• Maintenance work on the FestungsBahn will take place from November 9, 2026, through November 13, 2026 and from January 11, 2027, through February 12, 2027.

The MönchsbergAufzug lift is open: 

• Mo: 08.00 am - 07.00 pm
• Tu - Su: 08.00 am - 09.00 pm
• starting July 18, 2026, summer festival hours are daily from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm.

Starting January 2026, the WasserSpiegel museum on Mönchsberg can only be visited by school groups.
